Vote March 4th!

I found an interesting article in the El Paso Times named "El Paso experts say Obama should win Texas" by Brandi Grissom. I believe I can easily say that our next President is going to be either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. Sorry but I do not believe that Mccain stands a chance. I find it interesting to see why Grissom would think that Obama would win over Clinton. From an El Pasoan, I take into consideration that Clinton came and campaigned in Texas, we are not the biggest city, but we are a main city and have a diversity of people. But on the other hand George Lopez came to the Magoffin Auditorium to campaign for Obama. Due to El Paso having a mostly hispanic population, having someone such as George Lopez campaigning for them may have an impact on the voters. "The possibility of a black president gave him hope that one day soon, Americans might put a Hispanic in the White House." (Grissom) The possibility of having another race besides a white person in office is exciting. Obama as Grissom states has brought out the young voters in El Paso to come out to vote who haven't before. My personal opinion is that Obama is going to win all the way and will be our next president. He has ran a very good campaign, has good policies, and will bring a much needed change. But everyone has their own thoughts and opinions so we will see what happens on Tuesday!

Interesting results eh? A lot of people in high places jumped onto the bandwagon powered by Obama's momentum but have since jumped off after his recent defeats. This is probably going to come down to the party not making its decision until the national convention with the super delegates. If Obama gets the nomination then his running mate will be Edwards. Should Clinton get the nomination her running mate will probably be Richardson. I really don't think they'd ask each other because both of them have got to be tired by now since they started campaigning last October.

That is just my speculation.
